Fishing vessels don’t offer stable footing. Cancel more than 5 days before your trip? No charge! Cancel within 4 days? It's a 50% charge. No-shows or cancellations within 72 hours? Fully charged. If the Captain cancels due to weather, no charge. Restrictions: Discuss any medical conditions when booking to ensure we can accommodate you. All passengers must maintain their own balance. No pregnancies, recent surgeries, or kids under eight. Bad attitude? No boat for you! Treat the boat like the Captain's home. We provide bottled water and ice. No glass bottles or Styrofoam coolers allowed.

Kauai relies on local fishermen like us for fresh fish. One fish up to 50 lbs. can be cut, packaged, and shared among guests. The Captain decides which fish. Most large fish are sold to local restaurants to keep our gear top-notch. Large fish have a short shelf life, so freezing isn't an option. We’re generous with our catch compared to other charters. Our boat, the Emma, is a Bertram 38 Convertible III Sport fisher. She’s 17 tons and 41 ft long, offering a smooth ride. The fly bridge, 14 ft above the water, seats six and gives you a panoramic view of the action and Kauai’s beautiful coastline. Inside, there’s a fully equipped seating area and a private bathroom. Trust us, you’ll appreciate these comforts on hot or rainy days, and especially when nature calls!

Bring a sense of humor and a good attitude! Here’s what else you need: Valid ID (driver's license or passport), sun protection (high SPF sunscreen, hat, sunglasses), weather-appropriate clothing (layered, light jacket, rain gear), non-slip shoes, personal items (medications, motion sickness remedies, snacks, water, cash or credit card). Extras: camera or smartphone for photos, and a small towel. No spray-on sunscreen, please!
